Candidate Biography
From candidate Website
My wife Lillias and I have two beautiful daughters Lauren and Olivia. We live near the small southeastern Polk County community of Clayton where I grew up. I enjoy hunting, fishing and golfing when I am not busy chasing around our daughters, or taking care of the horses, dogs, cats and chickens we have at home.
For the last 14 years, I have been teaching high school government and world history in St. Croix Falls. I also serve, 22 years and counting, as a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 128th Infantry, having deployed overseas as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I have spent my life serving my country, my state, and my community and I look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of the 10th Senate District.
I always try to teach my students that responsible government means you have to answer to your constituents. Being unopposed gives a candidate a free pass and doesn’t promote the discussion many voters are seeking.
I believe a senator representing this area must be responsible to the people of the 10th Senate District and focus on issues important here, instead of the issues being handed down to us.
