Candidate Biography

I am running for State Assembly to give you the voice that you deserve in Madison.
I was born and raised on a small dairy farm near Waupun, graduated from Waupun High School in 1978 and UW Madison in 1982. After college I moved to the Chicago suburbs. I married my wife in 1986. My wife Ann is originally from Waukesha. We moved to Rhinelander 16 years ago wanting to get back to Wisconsin values to raise our two sons, and have fallen in love with the beauty of the outdoors/northwoods. I am employed in the purchasing department at Foster and Smith. My wife Ann is a Speech Pathologist at Saint Mary’s Hospital. I have been active in Scouts: serving as a Cub Scout leader, Soccer: as a youth soccer coach and Boys Junior Varsity coach for Rhinelander High School, First Congregational church: Teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Group, Chairman of Christian Education Board, Church Moderator, and currently on the Pastor Search Committee.
I have been a member of The Rhinelander School Board since April 2011.
I believe that in this time of a great divide in our state. It is important to have someone who is willing to work to bring this state back together and be a representative for all the citizens of the Northwoods.
