Candidate Biography
From candidate Website
I grew up with three brothers in a middle class family on the corner of Summer and Locust Streets in Appleton. We learned to respect others, to help those that wanted help, and to work together. These core values led to success in high school academics and sports, to college degrees in science and law, and to a career of helping my community as an adoption lawyer, mediator and volunteer.
I was privileged to lead a Kiwanis club, the “Appleton A Better Chance” program, a program that provides academically talented minority students with opportunity, education, guidance and personal development to help them achieve their goals and become leaders within their communities. I’ve sat on foundations, and served on the Appleton Board of Zoning Appeals.
I raised two wonderful daughters in Appleton, and am now a grandfather. After a recent 26 month commitment to serve my country as a Peace Corps Volunteer, I returned to the Fox Valley and practice law with my brother Michael and remain actively involved with my family and community.
