Candidate Biography


Rep. Hutton is an owner of Rock Transfer & Storage, Inc., in Milwaukee that provides critical supply chain support to many Wisconsin based industrial manufacturers. The company has been in business for over 30 years and Rob has been with the firm for the past 17 years.


Rob has been married to his wife Patti for 17 years. They both grew up in Brookfield, graduated from Brookfield East High School, and have strong family roots in both Brookfield and Wauwatosa. After graduating from UW-Whitewater with a degree in History, Rob has continued to reside exclusively in Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties. Rob and Patti live in Brookfield and are blessed with four children: Ryan (15), David (13), Sarah (10), and Steven (8).


For the past 7 years, Rob served as a Supervisor on the Waukesha County Board. As Supervisor, Rob brought his business perspective in an effort to reduce taxes and eliminate government waste. He has a proven track record in voting against wasteful spending. In the Fall of 2012, Rob was elected to represent the 13th District for the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Rob has a long-term commitment of giving back to the community. He has served on various non-profit boards, volunteered with inner city and prison outreach ministries, coached youth sports for 10 years, taught Sunday School and youth groups. Through Rob’s upbringing he knows the importance of serving and leaving the community a better place. Rob believes it is a responsibility and a privilege to teach the next generation the same moral values taught to him that will make them solid contributing citizens in our local communities.
