Candidate Biography

From candidate Website

I have regularly attended the Woodruff Town Board meetings and was Chairman of the Road Crew Supervisor Committee and a member of our town’s Building Facilities Study Committee. I was a member of the Northwoods Alliance for School Funding Reform and a member of Muskie Mania (The parent group at AV-W school that worked to raise the money to fund extra curricular activities when they were cut from the budget). I am a Firefighter on our local department, and an Emergency Medical Technician on our Rescue Squad. I am also a proud veteran of our United States Army.
In my almost 20 years as a resident of our district, I have served as a volunteer parent at our children’s schools, chaperoning field trips and helping out in the classroom. My family and myself have done countless fund raising events to support our schools, church, the Salvation Army and most recently the flood victims of Thailand where our daughter is living as a Rotary Foreign Exchange Student. I have been the adult chaperon for our church youth group mission trips both in and out of the country. I have donated my time to Minocqua Winter Park doing trail maintenance and was elected to the board of directors at the Lakeland Ice Arena.
I attended Nicolet Area Technical College and all of our children are students or graduates of Lakeland Union High School. My roots and interest in our community run deep, as does my concern for our future. My experience and dedication are testament to what you can expect of me.
