Scott Feldt was born on September 3, 1966 in Madison, WI to Bill and Alice Feldt. Scott grew up in Janesville, WI where he attended Parker High School. Scott was involved in tennis, music and theater. Scott got his first taste of politics when he participated in the Washington Seminar program. Students selected an issue to research and then travelled to Washington D.C. to interview federal officials about their topic. Shortly after, Scott realized that public service and public policy was the career path he wanted to pursue. Scott attended UW-Madison where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He later returned to receive his Master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy.

In 1995, Scott worked as the Executive Assistant to the State Treasurer until 2002. In 2002 Scott returned to Janesville to work for the Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of Government Relations. In 2005, Scott was offered an economic development position in Iowa where in less than three years, economic activity increased by approximately $55 million with the location of three businesses and the expansion of five. In 2007, Scott returned home to work for ABC Supply founder Ken Hendricks. With Hendricks’ tragic death, Scott returned to economic development as Director of Community Development for the city of East Moline, Illinois.
