My work this session led to stronger workforce training, more jobs for Central WI through major new development all across the area, reforms to social programs to reduce waste, fraud and abuse and a start of the conversation to bring the agricultural and tourism industries closer to more effectively sharing our most precious resource, water. I know that by working together we will solve long standing arguments through compromise and consensus. Living in the Town of Rome with my wife Amanda and our six children I have the privilege everyday of waking up and living in God’s country, protecting the natural beauty of Wisconsin’s forests, lakes, rivers, and streams is crucial to our long term growth. I’ve worked tirelessly to find ways to improve the lake we live near each of the last two sessions and will not waver in finding ways to balance growth and protecting our resources. I have stayed focus on finding local solutions to long standing problems caused by life long politicians who only represent special interests and not the people. The last two years I am proud to have authored bills or help in many other ways to benefit the communities of Port Edwards, Biron, Grand Rapids and Wisconsin Rapids in economic development projects from papermaking support to transportation grants, or new infrastructure. I am proud to have helped Adams County secure new tourism with the WI trap shooters and Sand Valley developments and will continue to work with those groups to make their experience in the 72nd District the best it can be. I am thrilled to have helped so many family farmers in Portage and Waushara Counties keep and grown their small businesses through the manufacturers and ag producers tax incentives. Most all of with your input from knocking on doors in 2012 I went down to Madison to protect the 300 jobs at Skyward in Stevens Point, because so many residents of this district commute there on a daily basis or have famiy that do. That effort has paid off with the announcement of 700 additional jobs and the creation of a new world headquarters based right here in Central WI. It’s been a great session, I never dreamed of accomplishing so much so fast and want to do even more for the communities here. I am committed to making even bigger progress next session with your help.
