Candidate Biography

Brad Pfaff is a proud son of the rolling hills, coulees, and valleys of northern La Crosse County where he was raised on his family’s dairy farm. Hard work, resilience, appreciation for the land, and respect for one’s neighbors and community are the values that guided Brad’s life.

Brad met his wife, Betty, a West Salem native, when he was a senior in high school at a 4-H leadership luncheon. They are the proud parents of two teenage children.

Brad was elected to two terms on the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors. He has served on his church council. Brad has held state and national leadership positions at the USDA Farm Service Agency, where he worked diligently for the best interest of family farmers, consumers, rural residents and communities.

Most recently, Brad led the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and was the director of business and rural development at the Wisconsin Department of Administration.
